Kent, Washington Criminal Defense Attorney.
There are three major criminal courts located in Kent, Washington. The first is the Regional Justice Center (RJC), which is located at 401 4th Avenue North; Kent, WA 98032-4429. The RJC handles both felony and misdemeanor matters.

The second major criminal court is the King County District Court - South Division, which is also located at 1210 S Central Ste 100; Kent, WA 98032. Because this is a District Court, it only handles misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor cases. For example, if you have been charged with Theft in the Third (3rd) Degree, Harassment, Reckless Driving, Negligent Driving, Assault in the Fourth (4th) Degree, DUI, Negligent Driving, Reckless Driving, your case may be ordered into this court if you were arrested by either a King County Sheriff or a Washington State Trooper.

If you were arrested by a City of Kent police officer, your case will most likely be heard in the Kent Municipal Court so long as you are charged with some form of misdemeanor. If you are charged with a felony, you will be ordered to appear in Superior Court, either at the downtown courthouse or at the RJC. The Kent Municipal Court is located in the same courthouse as the King County District Court - South Division.
